Lower Rio Grande Valley AIA Scholarship Announcements

McAllen, TX – The Lower Rio Grande Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (LRGV-AIA) has announced the recipients of its scholarship program for students in the chapter area – Laredo to Brownsville.

The scholarships are sustained with funds raised at the chapter’s annual golf tournament, which is supported by the local design and construction industry and also in part by a grant from the American Institute of Architect’s Component Matching Grant Program.  This year, we added a silent auction, encouraged by Fred Rodriguez, Workplace Resource, as a scholarship fundraiser.

The LRGV-AIA Scholarship has two grant categories, one for students that have been accepted to an accredited undergraduate architecture degree program and another for a student or students attending our local school of architecture at the University of Texas Brownsville Texas Southmost College.

We wish the students the best that each of their universities has to offer and look forward to their return to the Lower Rio Grande Valley upon graduation.
